Passionate About Learning   The love of learning is one of the most important gifts we can give our children. My education: B.S., M.S.: Mechanical Engineering. Ph.D.: Applied Math & Computing. Technical training: Draftsman, quality control, machine tool operation (lathes, milling, etc.). School Committee: Regular attendee for over a year. My wife & I attended public schools. All our children attended public schools: Son, (completed high school in Columbus, IN), B.S. (MIT) Daughter: SHS, B.A. (Hampshire College) Son: SMS, SHS, Jr (Harvey Mudd College, Claremont, CA). Son: Stanley, SMS, Jr at SHS. In spite of the usual bumps along the way, my children have all learned how to learn. I am a lifelong learner & reader: Weekly study group. I read 40+ books/year.
